The Taylormade R11 Irons feature a dual head design made for both performance and control. They have a shallow undercut channel between the face and rear to control feel and CG location, the mid-irons have a moderate undercut, and the long irons have a progressively larger undercut that pulls weight farther back from the face for added forgiveness. The irons also feature variable face thickness. Starting with 2.0mm thick face in the long irons to 2.3mm in the mid irons and 2.5mm in the short irons for enhanced feel.
Taylormade utilizes its inverted cone technology to expand the sweet area reducing overall loss on off center hits. The multifunctional sole is versatile and made to excel in any lie. The new R11 has traditional lofts with a 27.5* 5 iron and is considered between mid and compact size with less offset. The new grooves are USGA/R&A Conforming. An Optimized Inverted Cone that brings a larger COR area and improved control over your shot distance.
TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons
The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons were engineered to deliver legendary Burner distance and more playability, and refinements to the Burner 2.0 vibration-management system improve sound and feel. Weighting is higher in short irons for more workability and gets progressively lower and more rearward in long irons for forgiveness. The sole design reduces drag and should increase playability.
Each of the eight iron shafts flexes in a slightly different area, or kick point. The long irons have a lower kick point to help players get shots higher; the short irons have a higher kick point to encourage a slightly lower trajectory; and the mid-irons’ kick point is in between. They are designed for those that are between a 5 and 25 handicap, so beginners are not suitable for the type.
As a result of successful launch of the R11 Driver, the most recent R11 Irons have obtained significantly interest. In comparison to the Burner 2.0, the R11 share several similarities and differences using them.
